Lancashire Women's Hockey Association

Merseylancs Schoolgirls and Youth are seeking Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches to coach at the Junior Development centres (JDCs) situated at Formby Hockey Club and Liverpool University Ground, Wyncote and later at a Junior Academy Centre (JAC) to be held at Wyncote.

The age groups for this year are U12/U13, U14/U15 and U16/U17.

The dates at each JDC are as follows:

Formby Hockey Club

24th July, 7th 14th and 28th August 2008 between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

Wyncote, Liverpool University, Mather Avenue

14th, July 2008 between 4pm to 8pm

21st July 11th and 27th August 2008 between 2.00pm and 6.00pm

JDC Tournament

 30th August 2008 at Wyncote. Each of the JDC age groups will play against each other.

As well as coaching you may also be asked to select players to move upwards to a Junior Academy Centre to be held on 14 September, 12th October, 2 November 2008 and

25th January 2009 at Wyncote, Liverpool.

Those who wish to apply for the position of Head coach will need to be Level 2 and for the position of Assistant coaches at least level 1. You should also be or have applied to be CRB checked.

Coaches will be paid remuneration.

As well as coaches we also require Team Managers, Administrators and young leaders.

I have attached some background information on the single system, JDCs and JACs.

I would be grateful if you would circulate this notice and attachments to as many club members as possible within your club.

If interested in any of the positions there is an application form which should be completed and returned to Charlotte McNeela at charlotte.mcneela@englandhockey.org by 1st July for JDCs and 1st August for the JAC.
